The 20th meeting of the WHO Strategic and Technical Advisory Group for Neglected Tropical Diseases (STAG-NTD) will be held on 24–25 August 2026. The meeting will be hosted by the Department of Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases at WHO headquarters, with participation taking place virtually.
The primary objective of the meeting is to review the draft mid-term evaluation of the WHO road map for neglected tropical diseases 2021−2025, which is scheduled for publication in October 2026. Additional sessions will focus on reviewing whether the current criteria for adding new conditions to the list of neglected tropical diseases should be updated; and examining plans for the development of an integrated set of guidelines on vector control for malaria and neglected tropical diseases.
